My passion for health and wellness is obvious to anyone who has met me. I believe that we were made to jump and run and move like we did when we were children and that everyone can benefit from functional fitness which improves these movements. I believe that human beings were made to be in nature, surrounded by trees and water and fresh air. I believe that our sedentary lifestyle and diet filled with processed foods is what is causing so many health problems in America.
I joined the Army as a young adult and thought that I was in good shape during my time in service. But I am in better condition now, at almost 40 than I was in my early 20s. What happened in between is that I discovered Crossfit and the MovNat approach to fitness.
Crossfit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.
MovNat is a physical education & fitness system based on the full range of natural human movement abilities. These include the locomotive skills of walking, running, jumping, balancing, crawling, climbing & swimming.
Combining these two techniques has improved my quality of life and that of 100s of members here at Crossfit Williamsville.
I have made a commitment to take care of my health in such a way that I can keep up with my children (and eventually my grandchildren) and that my family will not have to carry the burden of caring for me through my older years. I believe that humans were made to live fully through each stage of life and I intend to run and jump and crawl and climb as long as possible.
I hope you will join me and the Crossfit Williamsville community as we take a journey towards being our best selves.

Amy’s CrossFit Journey started as an absolute beginner and now she is coaching and inspiring others to overcome their personal limitiations and truly excel. Her Favorite part of coaching is seeing the “ah hah” moment come across her athletes’ faces when they accomplish something they thought impossible.
