My passion for health and wellness is obvious to anyone who has met me. I believe that we were made to jump and run and move like we did when we were children and that everyone can benefit from functional fitness which improves these movements. I believe that human beings were made to be in nature, surrounded by trees and water and fresh air. I believe that our sedentary lifestyle and diet filled with processed foods is what is causing so many health problems in America.
I joined the Army as a young adult and thought that I was in good shape during my time in service. But I am in better condition now, at almost 40 than I was in my early 20s. What happened in between is that I discovered Crossfit and the MovNat approach to fitness.
Crossfit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.
MovNat is a physical education & fitness system based on the full range of natural human movement abilities. These include the locomotive skills of walking, running, jumping, balancing, crawling, climbing & swimming.
Combining these two techniques has improved my quality of life and that of 100s of members here at Crossfit Williamsville.
I have made a commitment to take care of my health in such a way that I can keep up with my children (and eventually my grandchildren) and that my family will not have to carry the burden of caring for me through my older years. I believe that humans were made to live fully through each stage of life and I intend to run and jump and crawl and climb as long as possible.
